Six documented concerns. All six dismissed as "acceptable service." Fourteen months later. He was already hospitalised before the letter arrived.

13 months. Between Chelsea (30 May 2021) and Newham (8 July 2022) lies thirteen months of unaddressed violent trauma — a formal Metropolitan Police complaint that was being processed while he was helping allocate $350,000 (USD) in Nike grants and preparing to graduate First Class. The complaint reference number is PC/6194/21. The outcome, received 28 December 2022 — after he was already inside the system — called the service "acceptable."
Years later, a Norwegian healthcare system applied a diagnosis asserting that he held a belief that he was being targeted by authorities. Not one Norwegian medical record references PC/6194/21. Not one clinician ever asked what came before the belief. They diagnosed the symptom. They never asked about the cause.

The weight. The weight of being categorised by a system that threw you against a wall, dismissed your complaint, then diagnosed your response to that dismissal as a delusion. Still shooting. Still building. The silence they created became the intermission. The intermission became the architecture.

The Record
Over a year of documented institutional care across three countries. Beginning with zero prior history. The system catalogued a life. That life is now presenting the catalogue — on its own terms, at its own time, in its own voice. The full record is subject to ongoing formal legal proceedings. What follows is what is already sufficient.
First ever contact with any psychiatric or mental health institution. Voluntary admission. Informal status. Discharged within weeks. Zero prior history anywhere in the world. East London — the same borough as Queen Mary University, where First Class Honours was being earned simultaneously. This is the clean baseline: the proof that nothing that followed was inevitable.
Accessed via police detention during international travel. Foreign jurisdiction. Substances administered — nature and dosage not disclosed by authorities. Family intervention and embassy assistance secured release to Denmark. The subsequent Norwegian institutional response to this episode is subject to ongoing formal legal review.
Multiple admissions across Oslo psychiatric units across a two-year period. Clinical assessments across these admissions produced differing conclusions from the same hospital network. Voluntary status transitioned to coercive measures on multiple occasions. Medication objections were clinically grounded — genetic factors relevant to the prescribed medication were documented but not acted upon. The pattern of diagnostic revision and the handling of those objections are subject to formal review.
Voluntary and elective admission for substance treatment. Residential programme. Discharge assessment: oriented across all modalities, no signs of acute psychiatric presentation, assessed as able to live independently in his own flat. Within 54 days of this voluntary discharge — a forced readmission under psychiatric legislation was initiated.
Forced admission. Physical restraint measures applied and documented. Clinical assessments during this same period contain assessments indicating absence of acute psychosis. The contradiction between those assessments and the continuation of involuntary treatment is the cornerstone of a formal patient compensation claim currently in preparation. A planned international professional engagement was cancelled as a direct result.
Supported transitional housing placement followed by the most surveilled inpatient admission in the full documented record. Single-day access volumes to the medical file during this admission reached the highest level across the entire 3-year period. This was the final admission. Discharged: January 2026. Architecture: operational.

The day the release papers came through. Two days’ leave at home, back to the Home Treatment Team, papers signed — and then the camera. Day one of freedom, or the closest thing to it: discharged on paper, still being kept tabs on. Kwajo Tweneboa — housing activist, Big Issue Changemaker 2022, the man who would decline an MBE in June 2023 — met him in Stratford. The camera was rolling. Unedited. Dated. Timestamped. On record.

The comeback had architecture before it had a spotlight. That was always the point.
